About Us: Our History
Barbara Castilano established Marketing Options in October of
1987 with a philosophy that all companies, regardless of size,
should have access to complete, professional and affordable
marketing support.
Prior to starting Marketing Options, Barbara held positions
in marketing and sales with:

Barbara operates her business with a keen eye on overhead,
keeping costs down to ensure affordable marketing services for
small- and medium-sized businesses. "Clients should get what
they pay for, and not have to worry about paying for someone
else's lavish buildings and extravagance," said Castilano.
Early on, Barbara provided a menu of services that companies
could cost effectively choose from. The services included
marketing plan development, research, competitive intelligence,
graphic design, copy writing, advertising, public relations and
sales training.
In 1997, Barbara teamed up with Mike Krumm to expand services
into Web site development and Internet marketing.
Services were expanded in 2000 by adding 3D animation,
interactive multimedia, video editing, and presentation
production. In 2002, tradeshow support services were added.
In 2005, Marketing Options Web site services expanded further
into international and domestic marketing. Translations and
ecommerce services were added, and the construction of an
e-commerce multilingual site for a manufacturing company in Ohio
serving French, Italian, Spanish, German, U.K. and U.S. markets
was developed. Diane Stoner was also brought on board to head
our Internet Marketing Services.
In 2006, advanced digital photography and on-site video
services were also added to the Marketing Options line of
offerings.
In 2008, Marketing Options expanded into its current location
at 7986 Clyo Rd, offering larger conference space and easy
access from I-675.
In 2009 international e-marketing services were expanded. On
any given month, we have e-marketing campaigns throughout
Europe, North America and South American achieving much higher
than national averages on open rates, click-through rates, Web
hits, and sales.
In 2011, event planning services were added and Marketing
Options led a highly successful South American conference and
expansion for a manufacturing company in the metal casting
industry. This successful expansion led to a remarkable increase
in export sales, and caught the eye of the U.S. Dept. of
Commerce.
Today, we proudly serve as a complete marketing department
for many of our clients while still offering project-based
services for other clients. We continue to serve small- and
medium-sized businesses in local, national, and international
markets.
